"With hints of heather grey, this collection is a modern take on spring florals"
Out of all the Spring Summer makeup collections I have had the pleasure to swatch, photograph and basically drool over, I think Bobbi Brown's Lilac Rose launch trumps them all when it comes to outrageous prettiness. The collection is awash with dusty pinks, lavender hues and shimmering pearls and the reinvention of their cult product - the Shimmer Brick, which features icy shades of pink, gold and peach, giving you that lit-from-within glow. This modern and fresh collection sees the release of several new, limited edition shades including their Lilac Rose eye palette, Pastel Pink blush and Roza nail polish, along with a few new lip glosses as shown above.
Pink Lily* (left) and Lilac Rose* (right) £17 are actually both very similar in colour when on the lips and are not overly pigmented. They are a lovely product if you are looking for a soft tint of colour and they do make your lips appear fuller and plumper with the addition of a subtle pearlescent shimmer. Alternatively, you may prefer to layer them over a brighter lipstick to obtain a fresh, glossy finish. Pink Lily would work beautifully over MAC Saint Germain lipstick for example, and Lilac Rose would be a good match for MAC's Snob.
The creme de la creme from this collection is undoubtedly the Lilac Rose Shimmer Brick* (£32) which is absolutely beautiful and far too pretty to actually use! The shades are frosty and packed full of iridescent shimmer which, when swirled together, gives your cheeks a sweep of icy cool-pink. The perfect medium between a blush and a highlighter. Alternatively, the individual bars can also be used as eyeshadows which I think would look really sweet on your lids. Definitely one for you if you like your pink shimmer!
Bobbi Brown's Lilac Rose collection is available now online and at a counter near you! Have you got your heart set on anything from this new Spring release?
