Glossy, irresistible and deceivingly pigmented - introducing the new Rouge Volupte Shine collection from YSL. This new range includes 19 seductive shades that boast a creamy, balm-like texture with an ultra glossy finish and a mouth-watering, mango scent which makes them a joy to wear and apply. As we step into Spring, everybody everywhere is emphasising the trend of dewy skin and fresh, radiant cheeks and this mode has now transcended onto the lips as well. The YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks leave your lips with a lustrous, wet-look shine that instantly brightens your look with a slick of vibrancy and brilliance. The range is divided into five colour ways - your beiges, corals, reds, pinks and purples, with varying shades and scales of vividness nestled within each. Some of the lipsticks are playfully soft and subtle whereas others are bold and daring, but all offer a high level of lip care leaving them plump and moisturised.
I have been wearing No.5 Fuchsia in Excess which sits neatly in the purple category and it really is a beautiful lipstick. Unlike the formula of the original YSL Rouge Voluptes, these are neither slippery or overly-creamy but are in fact nourishing, glossy and gives your lips a stain of colour that actually stays put! Fuchsia in Excess is an unashamed hot pink with a slight tint of red and purple running through it making it a flattering, unique colour with a long-lasting glossy finish. I am definitely keen to check out some of their softer shades too, in particular the nudes and the corals which are always perfect for subdued makeup during the Summer months.
