Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks* £7.99
available this month from Boots/Superdrug
Bourjois have always triumphed in the drugstore makeup stakes with their adorable little round pots of blush and their brilliant range of foundations and base products. But as for their lipsticks? This has always been an area I've bypassed but with the launch of their new Rouge Edition collection boasting 18 on trend, fashion-led lipsticks, Bourjois have definitely given us all reason to pay more attention next time we are browsing the aisles of Boots. The Rouge Edition lipsticks are enriched with orchid blossom extract allowing them to glide on beautifully and leave your lips hydrated for up to ten hours with a half gloss, half radiant colour finish. The new collection encompasses 18 new shades divided into three categories to suit all occasions and desires. Preppy is a lovely collection of pretty pinks and soft peach-toned shades laced with pearlescent hues for easy, natural lips to pair with a strong eye. Color Block is a range of unashamed, bold shades from orange, fuchsia to neon pink, for a bright, eye-catching pout. Night Out is defined by a range of glamorous shades perfect for adding an elegant lip for an evening time makeup look. Think darkened plum, classic red and a rich, chocolatey brown.
02, Beige Trench - Thick, lacquered, non-pearlescent beige with a delicate touch of pink
03, Peche Cosy - Fresh and full of light, a gorgeous peach with light cream tones
06, Rose Coquette - Delicately blue-tinted pink with a fresh, silvery pearlescent finish
07, Fuchsia Graffiti - Rich and bright electric-blue fuchsia
08, Rose Studio - A perfect, true pink
09, Orange Pop Up - Energising, pure orangey fun - zesty and fun
11, Fraise Remix - Succulent strawberry sorbet pink with a delicate hint of yellow
12, Rose Neon - A blue-tint pink with a bubblegum snap
14, Pretty Prune - An intense blue-edged burst of plum
15, Rouge Podium - Deep and timeless red, almost terracotta shot through with pearl
17, Rose Millesime - A vintage pink with delicate golden pearly hints
18, Violine Strass - Slightly blackened deep plum set off with golden pearly tints
All the lipsticks are lovely to apply and have a lustrous finish and shine that is extremely flattering and gives your lips a deceivingly, fuller appearance. It would be unfair to make me choose my favourite out of all the shades but if I had to then I would opt for 02, Beige Trench for a nude as classic as the Burberry Trench itself and 11, Fraise Remix because it is such a unique, fruity colour that will be absolutely perfect for eating sorbets in the Summer!
So, which one is your favourite?
