Lunchtime purchases

I am sure I am not alone when I say that I can never just 'pop' into Boots for a packet of tissues without leaving with a new lipstick or a fresh addition to my haircare collection. And when Topshop is conveniently located directly opposite, it would be rude to bypass without having a quick browse of their latest makeup offerings. This was the situation that arose yesterday when I simply popped out for a quick chai tea latte to go and ended up returning with the following lunchtime purchases...

Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I already have this brush in my collection and have used it pretty much every day for as long as I care to remember. It is the most perfect brush for buffing in your foundation and it gives your base a flawless finish. I purchased a backup just incase the unmentionable happens; my current one goes missing, it suddenly becomes out of stock everywhere. I just like to be prepared!

VO5 Give Me Moisture Hot Oil
This is one of those products I have read rave reviews about for months now but somehow convinced myself that I don't need it/it won't be beneficial for my hair. I remember using hot oil treatments on my hair when I was a teen so I am looking forward to reminiscing and giving this a whirl.

Topshop Lip Pencil in Coy
I have no idea why it has taken me quite so long to pick up this little beauty. It is peachy. It is pink. And it is a lip product! I love the Topshop lipstick range so am excited to try out this lip pencil out and no doubt a review will follow shortly!

Have you tried any of these products? And please tell me that I am not the only one to go into Boots for one thing and to come out with a basketful of beauty products?!

I use the stippling brush to apply my foundation too and it is amazing! Makes such a difference to how your foundation looks!
You are definitely not alone with the 'popping into boots, coming out with a basket full' thing, this happens to me ALL the time! It's actually impossible to just buy one thing! Our poor bank cards must hate the sight of that boots sign! xxx

You're so right, it's quite impossible to go to a store like that (or for me Sephora..since we don't have target or boots here...) and not get anything! =P

I really liked the color of the lip pencil! =D

Have a great Sunday!

i use the hot oil treatment all the time and it is amazing! much easier than the previous product where you had to actually heat up the oil in hot water before using it!
my ruined hair is actually starting to feel normal again!

I have been using the Real Technique's buffing brush for applying my foundation but might give the stippling brush a go if this is even better. Hopefully my local Boots has it when I head down this week! x

Boots is right next door to Topshop in my local shopping area too! I think it's a ploy to make everything so ridiculously tempting. I'd love to try out the hot oil xx

Nope you are definitely NOT the only one to do that!!! hehe! :) Great buys! I've just bought myself the Real Techniques Stippling Brush and it is by far THE MOST AMAZING brush I have EVER used!!!! I also have the foundation and blush brushes (I'm yet to use the blush one!) and I just love how soft they feel against my skin ;0)

That Topshop crayon looks gorge too, I only have nail polishes from Topshop as ours doesn't sell much make up! :( Probably a good thing tho!

Can't wait for a review of the hot oil as that's something I've never tried and like you I don't thnk my hair needs it! lol :)

Great pictures as ever Milly xxx
