Look Beauty Limited Edition Nail Pop* - 'Cool Britannia' £5 available online & selected Superdrug stores
Well, incase you didn't know, the Olympics 2012 have begun and I am well and truly caught up with the buzz of the games and thrill of watching our athletes compete. And of course, like with any notable occasion, to celebrate the Olympics the Olympics-inspired cosmetics have come out in force. So with a slick of liner or a gloss of polish we can all triumph and adorn ourselves with bronze, silver or gold! If you are cheering on Team GB this summer then what better way to fly the British flag than with Look Beauty's Cool Britannia nail pop! This silvery-grey base is densely studded with a patriotic mix of red, blue and white glitter creating a unique shade; a blurred icy pink from a distance yet distinctly more pixelated up close.
The consistency of this nail pop is smooth, yet dries quite gritty, and is tightly packed with multi-coloured flecks of glitter. It only takes two coats to become completely opaque and with a clear top coat applied on top, it will give your nails a glossy and even finish. So if you nail art skills don't quite allow for a Union Jack masterpiece on each nail, then maybe Cool Britannia is the patriotic polish for you!
If you are fan of natural beauty products and prefer to know exactly what is in your favourite face cream, then the Cocosa sale this week might be just the one for you! Monu Skincare was the vision on British beauty therapist Susan Molyneux who began creating her very own beauty products using a mix of herbs, plants, marine extracts and natural ingredients. Fast forward 30 years and Monu has now gained worldwide recognition and is an obvious choice amongst beauty professionals due to their commitment of only ever using the best of nature. I think it is so refreshing when you see an exemplary brand such a Monu being so proud of their heritage and organic roots, and ultimately you just know that you are treating your skin to a whole lot of goodness. Monu's strong ethos means you will never find any damaging chemicals, artificial perfumes or synthetic colours in their range and they favour human volunteers rather than animals when it comes to testing their products.
The Collagen eye cream and lip balm set (was £25 now £15) is the perfect coupling of products to soothe and hydrate your eyes and lips. The eye cream is extremely gentle and particularly suited for dry or mature eye contours, giving them an instant lift and plumping effect. It is enriched with Evening Primrose Oil which feeds and strengthens the skin around the eye, whilst the ingredient Arnica helps reduce puffiness and dark circles. The lip balm is a lovely light formula that repairs and protects dry, chapped lips - the result of dehydration and environmental damage. Wheat Germ Oil and Beeswax work effectively together to soften and replace lost lipids and the active UVA in the balm will protect your vulnerable lips from any further damage. It can be applied during the day or whenever your lips cry out for a burst of nourishment. This balm has firmly been by my side for the last few days and I love the way it makes my lips feel instantly smooth and plump.
Monu's Extra Rich Night Cream is a luxurious night treatment for the skin, formulated to nourish and hydrate your face and neck area whilst you sleep. It is especially suited for very dry skin; skin that may have been ravished by environmental damage such as sun exposure or those bracing winter winds we are all too au fait with here in England! A rich fusion of several essential oils and Vitamins, as well as Royal Jelly and Beeswax, gives this night cream a decadent texture and a natural potency that encourages smooth, soft skin and lasting hydration.
The Cocosa beauty sale goes live tomorrow and is boasting a maximum discount of 60% off RRP. If you have been yearning to add a natural range to your skincare collection, then this could be the perfect opportunity to grab yourself a bargain and sample some of the organic offerings from Monu.

"I am someone who is looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love." - Carrie Bradshaw
This post is dedicated to a very special friend, Miss Holly Burnett, whose hen party I attended last night. In just three weeks time Holly is to wed her beau, her darling Ben in Italy and I feel extremely blessed to be sharing their special day with them. You may remember Holly and Ben (and the huskies) from earlier this year when we went to visit them in Sweden and spent an incredible few days knee deep in snow; dog-sledging and sampling the delicious Swedish cuisine.
The theme of the night was Sex & the City so we all donned our heels and cocktail dresses and prepared for a night of Cosmopolitans and the obligatory arrival of the Ann Summers' lady. For the occasion I decided to wear this beautiful mint green dress from Romwe, clashed with a hot pink clutch and nude heels. It all felt very Carrie Bradshaw. I shunned her trademark curls and opted to recreate the sleek side ponytail she sported with her Prada dress on the back of Berger's motorbike. I plan to do a more detailed post about my new clip in hair extensions but in short, they are great! I received the Super Deluxe 180g set in Medium Blonde and was pleasantly surprised at how good a colour match they were and how luxurious the hair feels. My hair is thick, and I have a lot of it, but even I didn't need to use all of the ten pieces in the pack and achieved my style above using just half of them. I wrapped my real hair around the ponytail to conceal the hair tie and to blend the extensions in seamlessly with my natural, much shorter hair.
Back to the hen party and the whole evening was an absolute hoot and superbly organised by Holly's sister Sadie who, I'm excited to say, has recently taken the plunge into the great sea of blogging. It was the perfect way to celebrate Holly and all she is - a beautiful friend and very soon to be, a beautiful bride. I know you're probably more accustomed to seeing me gush about lipstick or my latest hair colour on my blog, but this post is for Holly and everything she means to me.
Love you Holly - see you in Italy x

Korres Myrrh & Oligoelements Nail Colours* £9 - available from ASOS and Harvey Nichols
Bright nail colour with Myrrh extract, Oligoelements and Provitamin B5 from strong, healthy nails
As a complete convert to Korres's skincare, the yoghurt moisturising cream being an absolute must to try, I was very intrigued to test out their new range of nail colours. Keeping true to their homeopathic routes and natural preparations, this new nail range has been developed with mild solvents so is kind to the nail and skin area without compromising on colour efficacy. The formula of these polishes is stunning - intensive colour, high-shine and brilliantly long-lasting. It is a joy to apply, so smooth and light and only requires two coats to reach an opaque finish.
There are 20 gorgeous shades in the Korres nail range, from soft pinks, deep reds and dark brown, as well as a top coat and a base coat. My personal favourite from the few I tried is 88. Midnight Blue. After two coats of this exquisite colour you are left with a rich, daring shade - a blackened-blue with an incredible glossy finish. Love!
Which is your favourite?

Summer time and strappy sandals. They go together like bread and butter but once the sun comes out, the thought of naked feet and exposed toes can instil a feeling of dread amongst many. For months we shroud our feet away from the world, hidden under thick denier and sturdy shoes, but now sandal season is upon us and it is time to bare all! Before we all run out and book our lavish spa treatments, Margaret Dabbs’ Foot Perfection Set (originally £31, now £25 on the Cocosa sale tomorrow!) might just be thrifty answer we are looking for to perform the perfect pedicure at home. Containing a generously-sized exfoliating mousse and a hydrating lotion, simply add water and a loving touch, and your feet will be worthy of any sandal in no time.
Firstly soften your skin in warm water to prep the skin and then massage a small amount of the Exfoliating Foot Mousse all over your feet, paying particular attention to any areas of hard skin. Containing active ingredients such as pumice, tea tree leaf and emu oil, this mousse removes dead skin cells as well as replenishing moisture and hydrating the skin. Tough enough to scrub away stubborn skin, but gentle enough to use on sensitive areas, this mousse is your first step to achieving fabulous feet! The emu oil in the mousse will also soften your cuticles so it is the perfect time to attend to them, pushing each one back gently with an orange stick. Once done, simply wash the mousse off and softly towel dry your feet.
Before moisturising, give your toes nails a quick trim to get them looking smart and uniform, free of any ragged ends and ready for a gloss of colour. To give your feet a hit of hydration, the Margaret Dabbs’ Intensive Hydrating Foot Lotion will lavish your feet with another helping of emu oil as well as lemon myrtle leaving your feet glowing, soft and citrus-fresh. Take one pump and smooth it all over your feet and toes, not forgetting your tired soles which are crying out for hydration. You may have noticed that the magic ingredient in both these products is the Emu Oil, a natural product that has been used by Aborigines for thousands of years. It has the same irritant level as water, is non pore-clogging and is a superb skin emollient, making it the ideal property to revitalise and replenish the feet.
And with your feet now all smooth and summer-ready, the final flourish is adding a slick of colour to your toes to complete the perfect pedicure. Essie Jag-u-are is featuring on the Cocosa sale tomorrow and can be picked up for red-hot £8, rather than £10! This racy red lacquer screams expense and would be a fitting paintwork shade for any sports car, although I am pretty sure Essie were making reference to the animal rather than the automobile! A cherry red polish with soft metallic gold tones makes this polish the perfect pedicure colour to transform your toes into glistening rubies under the tranquil sea.
With a maximum discount of 50%, will you be taking adavantage of the Cocosa sale tomorrow?

Dress* - Darling Clothes
Bando - Accessorize
Wedges - Faith
I am probably quite predictable when it comes to clothing. Everyone has their personal styles which they are instantly drawn to and for me it is all about the colour cream, cinched waists, pleats, florals and feminine fabrics. This dress from Darling ticks pretty much all these boxes with its draped sleeves and floaty, ethereal finish. It is the epitome of grown-up girliness and its cross-over style with the exaggerated sleeves and tied waist are quite reminiscent of a kimono. Needless to say it is perfectly cool and breezy to wear during these unexpected yet gratefully appreciated summer days. Despite my inner loathing of the expression, you really can "dress this piece up or down", casual enough for picnics in the park yet easily given a height of sophistication with some heels and a fancy up-do! I am already thinking this could be the perfect dress to wear to a very English wedding I am attending later on in the year. :)
I hope you are all having good weeks and enjoying the glorious sunshine.

Philips ReAura Laser Skin Rejuvenation* - £799
available from Space NK
Over the next few months, it will be my pleasure (and occasional pain) to trial Philips' at-home answer to professional skin laser treatments - the ReAura Laser Skin Rejuvenation. This nifty bit of kit promises to zap you into a whole new world of radiant skin, evened skin tone, reduced fine lines and a smoother complexion. The Philips ReAura is a serious piece of gadgetry that filled me with terror and excitement in equal measures. The ReAura is only available to purchase in store following a consultation with a Philips skin expert to ensure you and your skin are entirely suitable for the course of treatments. For a cool £800, it is a scary price to pay but notably less than what you may pay if you are considering a course of professional skin laser treatments.
So what I am hoping to achieve? Well I believe I am representing the younger demographic whose use of the ReAura certainly wouldn't be essential but could be very beneficial if you are looking to even out the texture and tone of your skin, as well as boost its natural radiance that might have been lost through sun damage and ageing. I don't have any wrinkles or fine lines so it will be the former problems that I will be hoping to improve over my continued sessions. The ReAura works by passing thousands of microscopic laser beams down into the epidermis and dermis which triggers a natural process of cell renewal. As a result, fresh skin cells containing more collagen are formed giving you smoother skin and a reduction of fine lines. At the same time, pigmented skin cells are pushed out of the skin, creating a more even skin tone.
I completed my first treatment the other day so now feel in a position to explain the process and what you can expect afterwards. I am treating the skin on my face but it is useful to note that the ReAura can be used on most areas of the body - the face, neck, decolletage, chest, arms and hands. With a CD, comprehensive manual and the Philips support team just a click away, you feel in very safe hands when using the ReAura and it is very simple to get up and running. It has three settings, 1 being the test mode for you to practice with, 2 being the medium treatment setting and 3 being the highest treatment setting. It will be your personal choice and pain threshold levels that will dictate whether you choose 2 or 3 but obviously 3 is guaranteed to give you quicker, more noticeable results. The ReAura works by delivering exactly the right amount of laser energy to a certain zone and will alert you when the correct dosage has been applied by producing the 'zone completed' sound.
Step 1 - Ensure skin is throughly cleansed before applying a pea-sized amount of the laser performance gel to each zone. On your face for example, the left side, right side and forehead are all separate zones and each zone roughly takes 10 minutes to complete. The laser performance gel provides optimum skin contact and allows the device to glide over the skin smoothly.
Step 2 - Switch on the device and select your treatment setting 2 or 3. I opted for 2 as I don't believe my skin needs to the highest level of treatment and, in all honesty, I was being a bit of a chicken! Place the applicator tip on your skin at a 90 degree angle and move the device slowly in long vertical and horizontal strokes. The red light will initially light up to let you know that you have got a good contact and then the green light will confirm that you are doing everything right. The fleshier parts of your face are really easy to do but I struggled to keep a good connection with my bony forehead, so I left that part. To be fair, apart from being disproportionally large, I am not overly concerned about my forehead!
Step 3 - Once you have treated all the zones apply the laser aftercare complex which will hydrate and soothe your skin as well as aid the cell renewal process.
I'm not going to lie, the treatment was painful. No not painful, more uncomfortable - like you are experiencing sunburn in slow motion. The after effects of this treatment can be quite severe and a bit scary really, but Philips reassure you that they are all normal, completely temporary and should be expected. My skin tingled and felt extremely hot and sensitive for a long time afterwards. The skin felt slightly puffy and tender to the touch and took a good 24 hours to go back to normal. I slathered myself in the aftercare complex as well as placing a ice cold flannel over my face to try and extract some of the heat. It is a bit unpleasant and anything but sexy, but the skin does recover between 12 and 24 hours later. It is probably best to conduct your treatments in the evening so you don't have to face the world red-faced and slightly throbbing! After repeat treatments over the next few weeks I can expect to experience dry and flaky skin as the cell renewal process begins and the old skin is being shred and rejuvenated.
The recommended course of treatments is two times a week for eight weeks so I will be following up with a few more updates to let you know how I am getting on. In the meantime however, if you have any questions regarding the ReAura, feel free to leave them in a comments below and I will get back to you.

Bralet* - Lavish Alice
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Topshop
Blazer - H&M
Lipstick - MAC Violetta
I like clothes that have a little bit of pizazz. Items that transform an outfit with a shimmy of movement and an injection of colour. This ombre fringed bralet from Lavish Alice is the epitome of all these things and gives you this incompressible desire to sashay and swish everywhere you go! With my love of all things dip-dyed, I knew it wouldn't be long before I was welcoming ombre into my wardrobe. I wore this bralet out for dinner last week with Rob, simply paired with some wet-look leggings and an oversized blazer to maintain a bit of my modesty!
Hope you are all having fabulous weekends and making the most of this lovely sunshine!

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil* - What a Blast! - £14
I have had this lip liner lurking in my collection for a while now, unopened and unloved purely because I am not really a lip liner kind of gal! However I couldn’t deny this gorgeous shade any longer so I thought I would try it out worn all over the lips as a statement lip colour. What a Blast! is unashamedly bold with bright orangey-red tones. I received this along with Good to Go lipstick after I attended the latest MAC Masterclass earlier this year and the two products are very complimentary when worn together. On the lips they almost give you the same colour payoff however What a Blast! lip liner is a lot more opaque with a powdery-matte finish.
Bright orange-red lips are such fun way to give you a fresh spin on the classic red lips which can look a bit dark and dated, especially during the sunnier months. The consistency of this lip liner is smooth and creamy and applies nicely onto the lips, but I would definitely recommend coating them with a balm before and after to help gel the colour together. The matte finish of What a Blast! can be a bit unforgiving on dry lips so it is imperative that your lips are primed and smooth before application otherwise the dense colour will only further highlight any flakes or dry patches. This is a really lovely liner and as the name would suggest, it stayed vivid and unfaltering on my lips for ages!
Are you a fan of orange lips?
