Accessorize 'Lovely Day' Palette* - £8.95
Accessorize is a brand that I am very fond of. When I was 21, I landed my dream job working for Monsoon Accessorize head office in their merchandising department. I was based within the jewellery section and my day was filled with beads, bangles and excel spreadsheets. A dream for me! Since leaving, I have continued to watch Accessorize grow and grow and I am excited that they have now branched out and introduced their own makeup range. I don't think Accessorize will ever become the one-stop-shop for makeup and beauty items, but I have no doubt that their range of reasonably priced products will do really well. The beauty of Accessorize is that they capitalise on those one-off, last minute purchases that you can't help yourself picking up. You may go in for a new scarf, clutch bag or a pair of flip flops, and in variably you will also leave with a new keyring or a pack of cute stickers! I think their new makeup range will mirror these spontaneous purchases and also make for perfect gifts for friends and family as well.
Today I am featuring one of their two new eyeshadow palettes, 'Lovely Day', which is a neutral toned palette with a mix of 32 matte and shimmer powders. The other palette, 'You are Everything', is a combination of brighter tones, featuring cool blues and warm pinks. The packaging of this palette is very typically Accessorize and has a handy mirror and elasticated fastening to keep it compact and easy to transport. The shades are very complimentary and offer great pigmentation, so are a really fun way to add a sweep of colour instantly to your makeup look. With 32 individual shades for just £8.95, I think this is a brilliant palette and definitely worth checking out.
The new cosmetic collection from Accessorize also includes a range of individual baked eyeshadows (£2.95), bang-on-trend nail varnishes (£2.95), defining brow pencils (£2.95), a fibre lengthening mascara (£5.95), intense lip glosses (£3.95), matte finish lipsticks (£4.95) and a selection of three unique fragrances to tempt and enchant you (£9.99/£15). The sunday girl mentioned that an Accessorize and MUA lipstick were the same in texture and smell...
AND these eyeshadows look EXACTLY like MUA eyeshadows... I don't know how, but in these photos they look so similar. This is such a great deal as well
