I couldn't help but be dazed by this glitter-ladened nail polish when I saw Hannah wearing it at the Motel Rocks event last week. There has been much jubilation over Juicy Jules from Model's Own so I knew I needed to pick it up (Boots, £5) and lavish my nails with some sensational sparkles pronto.
I am wearing Elegant Touch false nails and used some nail stickers to create a clean line when painting the tips.
I've got to be honest - I had high expectations for this polish and my experience was slightly tainted by the gloppy consistency and the meagre amount of glitter after one coat. I foolishly thought that I might have achieved complete opaqueness after one quick slick but it did require three generous coatings to get the perfect look. Rumour has it that other people are blessed with a gloriously glittery finish after one coat which makes me wonder if I bought a dodgy bottle?! Either way, it is a cheap, fun, sure-fire way to some festive fingers this Christmas.

I love the nude pairing btw :)

Love this! Getting that polish as soon as i'm near a models own stand :) x
I got Juicy Jules in the Models Own sale and I´m totally in love with it. I don´t think your bottle is faulty as mine takes about 3 coats to make it nice and fully glittery as well, but I like it because it gives me the possibility to just put one coat on a regular glitterless polish (I tried with Barry M Blue Moon and it looked fabulous!) and get a nice, festive look in a second.
They look fab!

Love this :)
I need to put on three coats to get decent coverage so it's not just you :) I love how you've just applied it to the tips, I really need to try that once my nails are longer! It is a really lovely polish, but a complete nightmare to remove :( xx
Love it!! I never say no to glitter me :) x
wow! I need this polish! Love the post xoxo
I have to use 2-3 coats with most glittery polishs like this so its not just you, just other peoples pictures decieving :)
Your nails look gorgeous! Perfect way to add a touch of glitter without going overboard. Shame it took 3 coats though. I have a similar problem with gloopyness with models own champagne- looks gorgeous once its on though. So worth it in the end! haha. xxx

I agree, glitter nail varnish is such a pain. I tried the Rimmel and had to use a few coats. Plus its a nightmare to get off... At least the outcome is pretty though!XO

every girl and their mother must have this polish because its NEVER in stock :/ this is such a lovely way of using it though :)
Jade, xx
I have this polish but hardly ever use it as like you said its horribly gloopy to apply :/
Nubar glitters are MUCH better! You should try their 2010 shimmering flake polish or hologram glitter as they are amazing! You can get them cheap here: http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/nubar/categories/glitter/ :) xo
I love Juicy Jules, but yeah, it's pretty hard to achieve full coverage with just one layer. I actually had to use 5 layers! Still, I love it!
I want this polish so badly but can't find it anywhere local! x

looove this!! and adorable on just the tips! :) xx
Such a shame it takes so many coats to make it dense. I swear by the accessorize glittery polishes. Very dense in only two coats. Another hint, match your base colour to the glitter to make it pack more of a punch!

ooh loving the sparkles, may have to get myself a sparkly one for Xmas time :) xx
I was also disappointed by the formula, but learned to like it. It seems we're both obsessed with Juicy Jules, I've used it to create something different (pics on my blog), but I love your design and may attempt to do sth similar! X

It looks beautiful! Shame about the consistency though, but it looks great all the same. I'd never thought of doing just glittery tips, I'm definitely going to try it out!

Love these glittery tips!!!
Love your nails! I have this polish too so going to try it out next time I buy some false nails. I've found its a bit gloopy too and that you need to apply more for a more glittery effect! You're not the only one! xo
love love love!! xx
This is one of my fave nail varnishes ever. I always wear this on my tootsies!
