The holiday is booked.
5 weeks, 3 days and an inconsequential number of hours and we shall be jetting off to seek warmth and relaxation, and maybe few ice creams, under the Egyptian sun! I am so so so very excited. :) I love going on holiday in the later summer months; as everyone else goes and returns, you have that smug feeling knowing your holiday is still to come.
However this late summer excursion means I am fraught with the challenge of tracking down some bikinis for my two weeks away. It feels like I'm swimming against the current with the shops currently tossing all their summer clothes aside to line the floors of their sales section. I became excited, momentarily, when I seized a perfect pair of bikini bottoms, only to be left on my hands and knees scouring for the accompanying top half. I think ASOS and La Senza will be my salvation as they both have a huge range of gorgeous, frilly and colourful bikinis. Which leads me to the immortal question; how many is too many bikinis for a summer holiday??
Have you been to Egypt? And, more importantly, have you seen any decent bikinis out and about in the shops?

Ooh lovely! I' m off to Greece for a summer wedding on Saturday, I'm so excited! I'm taking two bikinis (travelling light, hehe), one from last season Roxy and my recently-purchased one is by H&M. They have really great swimwear this year!xx
No such thing as too many ;)
I went to Egypt a few years ago,it's a real once in a lifetime experience - I've never been anywhere else quite like it. A lot of countries blend into one another for me but Edgypt stands out. Its hot, the locals will pester you and the beggers are unbelievable (plus when we were there we had an armed guard all the time which was pretty scary - not sure if everyone gets that or if it was just our travel agent who employed him!) But the sights are amazing, and where else will you ever get inside a pyramid?! The history is fascinating - definitely check out the museums (and I'm not a museum person!).
Have a fabulous time!!!
Much Love

ahh i can really do with a holiday too! hope you have fun!
Urban outfitters have some gorgeous bikinis on their website!xxxx
How amazing! :) Im off to egypt on Monday for two weeks! Braving the august heat. Going to sharm el sheikh. I also agree that la senza and ASOS is the best place to look for your bikini's around this time of year, I also was one of the mad girls scurrying around on the ground in New look haha. I have also read about the mosquitoes this year and suggest you take lemon and camomile products and candles as this seems to repel them. Hope you have an amazing time as I am sure I will too. xxx
River Island have some gorgeous bikinis at the moment :) I got mine quite last minute too, I don't know how everyone else is so prepared! xxx

so happy for you!
I have been to Egypt twice, won't come back anytime soon, I need to forget about the food poisoning at the end of the stay, like many people there. Take my advise please-drink pretty a lot of vodka, because the food and the drinkwater there is different and not nice for us Europeans.
Have fun Sweetie :)
i went to egypt just a few weeks back! if you go to sharm i recommend you visit soho square! its amazing there :D i did become ill though due to the food,so watch out :D other than that its great and you will get an AMAZING tan! <3
Take a look in the Joules sale - I'm in the same predicament as I'm not going away until the end of Sept! If they still have them in stock, the navy and gold nautical print bikini is THE most flattering thing in the world, I bought two last year ha :) xx
I have that smug feeling! I go away September and get back October! I've bought 4 new bikinis in the last month, 2 from next, 1 from asos and 1 from George at asda!!
Your going to have so much fun! xoxo
Haha! I too have the gratification of being able to jet off somewhere hot after everyone else has gone!

You can never have too many bikinis!! I had 6 for my week-long holiday to Zante haha
I agree with ASOS as a good place to look- take a peek at the sale because I'm sure they'll be some great ones there, sometimes just a couple of quid for seperates!!

The bikini's in River Island are lush. The ones with the roses on the bikini top especially. Carmel from Hollyoaks was wearing one of the rose bikini's in todays episode! xoxo
